1. havign to meet up with someone all of the time to get tasks done was by far the most difficult part of the course.

2. the easiest part was the blogs, they were a good stress reliever too haha.

3. i learned that although sometimes you really just have to take charge and get it done, you also have to be a good team player and listen to others ideas.

4. like i said it was just hard to meet up all the time

5, working in a team was good because you get two different opinions on a subject, and two heads are always better than one!

6. working for a client was challenging because they are usually really specific and picky about what they want and its hard to get it exactly right,

7. i learned most about powerpoint, it has a lot of features i never knew about.

8. my favorite was word, because i am the most familiar with it so it was easiest. excel made me want to slam my keyboard into my face. I HATE THAT PROGRAM. its too complicated for me.

9. i learned that sometimes problems seem too difficult to handle and you dont even know where to start, but you just gotta get your hands dirty, get in there and get it done at all costs.

10. i wouldnt procrastinate as much, it really came back to haunt me. i was too cocky in my office abilities and was way wrong. keep up on your work kids!!

What would you rather be doing right now?

the most used applications on my computer are word, firefox, aim, and counterstrike. i use picture editors every now and them but the former are the ones i use daily. id say i use my computer for 3x as much fun as school work, and without it both would suffer incredibly.

i would rather be sleeping/eating/watching tv/ surfing the web/ punching myself in the face/ ANYTHING

i am glad this is the topic for this week. i think the number 1 competitor to powerpoint is flash. both of them are similar in the way that you can create a presentation with animation, but flash can doo 100x more. its almost like comparing super nintendo to the xbox 360. both do the basically same thing, but one is incredibly more advanced and thus more complicated. i think powerpoint is best for the uneducated computer goers, but if you know anything about computers you should always go with flash. it is more complicated but it allows you to make a much more impressive presentation.

What are the most important tools you have used up until now and why?

our work on the tasks has, admittantly, been lacking. we have been very distracted and finding a neutral time to meet has been especially difficult. i dont know how the other groups are doing, but im worried. our team morale is low and were not getting along as well, but i know at least im trying to work on it. the software has a lot more to offer than i ever thought though and its been fun finding outs all sorts of new things. the book has been sorta helpful but i think just the internet in general has been the most helpful resource.

This semester has been a very big challenge indeed. Taking an online course would be easy, or so I thought, but this is turning out to be more work than most of my other regular classes. Working in a group has gone surprisingly well, but meeting up has been sorta problematic. For the rest of the semester were going to really just try and get through everything and come out with a decent grade!

Our process of working on ray’s task is only a little different from our other tasks. It has proven to be much harder for us than the others because neither of us are really familiar with this type of work. We decided to switch roles and let venus try her hand at team leader. She did alright and we got through the task, but I don’t think she was better than me and team leader. We may try this combination out again, but I think we’ll probably just go back to our old setup.

well we did hester’s task a long time ago and we were new at trying to work as a team so it was a little difficult at first. we  stuggled through it, but with persistance, we learned a lot about each other and are using the lessons learned to make sure we dont make the same mistakes in the future. i think we agreed that i do well delegating tasks and keeping everything structured while venus scribes what i say. i think on the next task were going to keep up this sinning combination but this time the gears will run much more smoothly.

Finally, how important is communication with your Team and your Client in creating a product and coming up with a solution?

Leto’s task was I think one of the easier taks weve been assigned. It just flowed easily and out understanding of the program made the task that much easier. i think next time we need to include more graphics though. we wroked well as a team, and i feel that since i was the team leader i led effectively. i delegated tasks fairly. i think our final solution was very good, and realistic.

communicating between my team and client is essential to creating a great product and making both parties happy. i feel that we did this well.

i think the role of computers has really changed the role of the student all together. and though i hate to admit it, id say it has made getting through school and getting an education much easier. i would like to see people do less “copy and paste” learning though. the internet can be a great tool in order to learn, but many people take complete advantage of it. i can learn better with technology more by understanding it better and using it to its full potential.
